i don’t keep or eat any bass, that’s why god created bluegill, crappie, walleye, catfish, trout, salmon, etc…. and for the asians, carp and snakeheads. my wife is chinese born in china, been in the usa for 6 years and now a citizen, but she won’t eat american food and she is always after me to keep the legal bass. In china they keep everything whether it’s 2” or 2’, i tell her she knows how to catch bluegill, crappie and catfish, go to it, i’ll rig you up some poles. then she always wanting me to catch carp for her, i just walk away

I know what you mean, it feels good to release a great fish too. When I was living on the west coast I did a ton of salmon fishing in the rivers,(not much ocean) and landed a 51lbs chinook salmon and when I was putting him back people on shore where swearing at me like I was the biggest idiot in the world. They were so mad that we almost got into a fight over it. Even with all the poeople pissed at me it was so rewarding to watch him swim away.

They eat the fish heads, eyes, brains, everything, after they get done chopsticking it , nothing left but bone. I could tell you stories of some of the crap they eat that would make you sick. i’d refuse the food and just tell her to order me another beer. can’t drink the water because it’s polluted bad in china but the beer is excellent, joint venture between chinese cities and german brewers and a bottle there is a little over 2 beers here was just 25 cents last time i was there in 2003. so i drank a lot of beer and went to McDonalds and KFC.

Same here, love walleye and you are right at the walleye capital of the world, i was raised in New Lexington, Ohio, Perry county about 60 miles southeast of Columbus. Whole county has less than 35,000 people in the whole county so it is rural at best.

My first trip there i asked for an egg roll and they had no idea what i was talking about, they eat very little meat, mostly meat is used for flavoring, they mostly eat vegetables, rice, fish, fowl, pork, hardly any beef, they don’t have a lot of cattle in china, no milk except powdered milk or soy milk, just water buffalo, seen a few along a river, they are impressive. they eat just about every part of the animal, when they brought out those blackened duck heads that where split down the middle with about 3 inches of neck with it, i said order another beer, they eat chickens feet, duck heads, fish eyes, brains, etc. they tear it up with those chopsticks. 10 people can eat for 2 hours for about 30 bucks, although it’s more now since inflation has set in. they eat dog, cats, mice, rats, birds like wrens and robins, basically anything that swims, walks, crawls or flies and think nothing of it.
Chinese food you get here in the states doesn’t exist over there, food doesn’t even look the same. i ordered some potatoes once and they brought out this purple looking mess that tasted nothing like a potatoe, had a funky bad taste to it, i spit it out and ordered another beer. unless you eat at Mickey d’s or KFC and drink a whole lot of beer, you will lose weight in china, unless you are willing to eat anything
