I like both brands but I have chosen Lowrance because I like their sonar and GPS better. I believe their sonar gives a better image of whats going on under the boat. I also like that I can run SI on up to 3 HDS units from one Structure Scan unit (LSS-1). I never gave the bigger HB units a chance though. Im sure a 998 or 1198 would look better then the 797 I have due to the screen sizes.

I’d like to have 10” on the console and up front. I don’t have either. I have two HD8’s   my eyes aren’t as good as they use to be so 8’s are the smallest i’d go.  BH
