What kind of fluoro does everybody use? I recently got some Berkley Vanish. I haven’t had a chance to try it out and was wondering what ya’ll use.
I heard vanish is garbage but 100% is great. The way I had it explained to me was that you want a flouro that has all the good characteristics of the line will all the bad characteristics as well. You want all the good, as in you want a line with low stretch, zero elasticity, high break strength per line diameter, high abrasion resistance, stays translucent over time while also possessing all the “bad” such as high memory. The benchmark flouro I was recommended was BPS XPS flouro. Certain lines will have elasticity like that of a nylon mono while possessing smoother casting behavior. A benchmark for the breed is recommended to start with to get to know the line before moving on. I still believe BPS XPS flouro is that benchmark line.
