So…any view points on the Nitro Z6? Here in a year or so I’m gonna get an actual bass boat (Keeping the Sun Tracker Fishing Barge as well).

The Z6 is fantastic.  My dad bought a new one in 2011.  I can’t say enough good things about it.  Great ride, stable while fishing, jumps on plane with the 115 Pro XS, plenty of storage etc.  And it even fits in his garage.

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

both glass and aluminum have their pros and cons . i have both and use both regulary. aluminum certainly doesnt have the ride that fiberglass does but it will take abuse much better and go where the bigger boats wont . i have an express sv 18 bass and i love it . if i had to choose between my two boats i would definatly take it over my fiberglass with the 300 merc. i run a 90 yamaha 2 stroke on it and it has over 5000 hours on it and it is a 2008 model. Xpress makes a nicer version in 19 foot with a 200 and it has a stepped hull like a glass boat with half the weight . you can get an Xpress with as little options as you like or loaded out . i upgraded to a 24 volt 65 pound minn kota and that was a great choice . i also got a bobs bass jack hydraulic jack plate. i can run in less than 12 inchs of water and get way back where no one else can even think about . im using it on okeechobee right now and going places that my buddys cant get to with their 21 footers . i trully love this boat and will always own an Xpress . they stand behind all there work and will do anything they can to keep their customers happy. hope this helps you out

I like G3 in Aluminum. Im Curious though, does it have to be Aluminum? For 20 grand you can get a pretty nice just a few year old Fiberglass Boat.

It’s all in what you like . I have both and know the advantages of both . Show me a fiberglass boat that will go thru 6 in deep water and I’ll buy it . Rocks and fiberglass make for an expensive trip and repair bill where aluminum will still be going strong .

I’ve been looking at Xpress Boats and really like what I have seen.  They offer a lot more than Tracker and are better build.  I’m from Florida (living in TN) and will be fishing Okeechobee at lease 3 times a year or more on vacation.  Thanks for your input.
