why does Norton Internet Security ALWAYS show this site as an Identity Threat? Please don’t tell me its an error. might be a good idea to fix this before someone makes a big deal out of it and embarrasses the man.

I’ve never had anything say this is a threat.

i tried attaching a PDF that i made of the Symantec report. Your site won’t allow it. If you supply an email i will show you what i’m talking about. I know i’m not the only one getting this.

maybe it is your provider creating it.

Most likely a setting in Norton causing it to pop up, probably caused by cookies for your username/password login info. I’ve had it happen on sites I’ve used for years with Norton, but not with this site.

Its just false positives caused by the remember password feature here. EE forums do that a lot. Its nothing to worry about.

First, I’m full of what?

What a rude way to talk to a stranger! Secondly, they have my email and contact information why on God’s green earth would i want to upload a virus in PUBLIC!!!!. Anyone worth their salt running a forum understands how to verify a person. Lastly, I’m attempting to speak with the Admin of this site and be helpful, NOT someone who doesn’t UNDERSTAND NETWORKS like one I RUN. So i would appreciate it if you don’t have any knowledge or experience that you kindly drop out of the thread.

I get this identity phishing alert from Symantec on just about every page of the site and have ever since I’ve been coming here. Which is last June (2011). I’m sure its innocent but its NOT my IMAGINATION. I made a PDF of the Symantec report. I can give it to you any way you are comfortable.

OK, made three jpgs, all under 100k, not allowing me to post. its late, i’m tired, its probably me and I’ll figure this out in the morning.

it happens in Firefox 10.2, Macintosh. I have checked Firefox on the PC, seems fine, Safari on Macintosh & PC, works fine.
