Just released from the hospital yesterday and on the release paperwork it said return to normal activity, so I went fishing today for a couple hours.

Highs in 50s with a good wind (15-20mph) and partly cloudy – I started with a buzzbait – no takers.  I also carried a rod with a tube jig tied on – nothing.

I switched the tube to a Yum CrawPapi and caught a dink not worth taking a picture.  I moved around the pond and came to the big reed area, pitched the CrawPapi into the reeds, instant weight.  Not a toad but a good fish.

I switched the buzzbait to a chart./white Chatterbait.

I moved down the bank where one clump on cattails is growing next to the riprap and the wind was blowing right into bank.  I threw the Chatterbait well past the clump and started working it back.  When it got near the clump the fish hit so hard it about took the rod out of hands.  Again, not a toad but a good fish.

Good to be home and out of the hospital.

Glad to hear that you are out and doing fine Flymantex! I wish all the therapy I went through with my knee would have been half as good as yours
