I recently purchase this Quantum cranking rod brand new even though it is from the mid 90’s, the person I got it from purchased it from Bass Pro Shops and it still has the label attached with a picture of Gary Klein and KVD on the brochure. Anyway, this was a Quantum Tour Edition USA made in america and seem nice but like all fiberglass rods it is heavy and I was wondering how good is this rod? Do I keep it intact unopened if you will, or do I use it to fish with? If anyone else has ever used this rod I would appreciate any information as to which cranks you use it for and if it would work with shallow square bill types of cranks. BTW, it is MH power rated for lure weights 1/4oz to 1oz and line size 8lb - 17lb.
