I just read a tip that totally made sense. The author said when he throws swimmin jigs in clear water he uses a pork trailer instead of a grub or craw trailer. He also said to always rig it sideways so when the jig is swimming the trailer is up and down instead of flat. He said this mimics the forked tail of a fish. Totally makes sense and something I have never thought of trying before.

Yea, that does make sense. Just make sure you have enough hook exposed for a solid hookset. Pork can be hard to work with sometimes.
