Green Pumpkin is probably the most versatil & covers most water clarities & that’s my reasoning for casting my vote for GP & it’s variations.

Where in the south are you? I’m in south eastern VA right now…stationed in Norfolk. I’m from south eastern KY along the KY/TN/VA line & grew up fishing the waters of KY & TN. Back when I was growing up, pumpkin seed with a chart tail was the go-to/staple/standard color for soft plastics.

I deft have to go with GP but also like the pumpkin seed colors also. I have caught some of my best ones with both the colors. Since most of the water i fish is heavly stained

Whatever trips my trigger.  It’s usually GP but red shad, plum and other colors catch me fish too.  GP or black with an orange swirl is an old favorite.  I’m convinced that action > color in reaction baits, but with plastics and jigs?  I don’t know.  Don’t fish them enough with enough people in the boat swapping baits to have any conclusive data.

Voted GP. GP for all bottom contact baits, white/pearl for swimbaits.

Run a chartreuse and black crank or lipless and hang on!!!! Works great in stained water.
